What is Linked Comments used for?

Linked Comments allows you to view all comments from linked issues without having to open each issue individually. This is particularly useful in Service Desk environments where you need to see the full conversation across related tickets.

Can I control which comments are visible?

Yes. User permissions are respected. You will only see comments from linked issues if you have permission to view those issues. If you cannot see an issue, you won't see its comments in Linked Comments either.

No. Linked Comments only displays existing issue links and their associated comments. It does not create or modify any links.

Why doesn't Linked Comments appear in my projects?

By default, Linked Comments is enabled in all projects. However, your Jira Administrator may have disabled it for specific projects. Check with your administrator or visit the Linked Comments configuration page to verify the app is enabled for your project.
